If you import food through Vietnam and belong to these 3 groups, you must certify the product

1. Health protection foods, medical nutritional foods, foods for special diets.
2. Nutrition products for children up to 36 months of age.
3. Mixed food additives with new uses, food additives not on the list of additives permitted for use in food or not intended for use by the Ministry of Health.

Registration documents for product announcements

A dossier of registration of product declarations for imported products comprises:
a. Product declaration form;
b. Certificate of free sale (Certificate of Free Sale) or Certificate of Export (Certificate of Exportation) or Health Certificate (Health Certificate) of the competent authority of the country of origin / export issued internally to ensure safety for users or to sell freely in the market of the country of manufacture / export (consular legalization);
c. Food safety testing result card of the product (original or certified copy);
d. Scientific evidence proving the utility of the product or ingredients that makes the announced use (the original or certified copy of the organization or individual). When using scientific evidence on the ingredients' use to make a product useful, the daily dose of the product must be at least equal to or greater than 15% of the quantity of that ingredient stated in Whether;
e. A certificate of establishment meeting food safety requirements (GMP) or equivalent certificate in case the imported product is a health food applied from July 1, 2019 (certified copy of organization or individual).
